Ethical Question

Post  Slowbro on Thu Jun 02, 2011 11:16 pm

Just to see what everyone's responses are, I would appreciate any given remarks, whether it is an answer to this question, not an answer, or not to post at all.

You find that you can examine people's expenses claims and you see that your boss is cheating for a hundred or so dollars per month: Would you a) report him if you wouldn't face any consequences; or b) report him, consequences be damned, or c) forget about it?

I am happy to inform you, Slowbro, that only a dense fool would ask a question like this. Several things in this post make it unworthy of being answered. However, as noble as I am, I feel responsible to better the world by telling you, mindless simpleton, of your fatal flaws.

A boss so unintelligent as to get caught scamming is pathetic.
A boss so unintelligent as to only cheat “a hundred dollars or so per month” is pathetic.
A boss so unintelligent as to allow his cheating to be “examined” is pathetic.
A boss so unintelligent as to let “being reported” cause any problems is pathetic.
A boss so unintelligent as to let an employee report them without consequences is pathetic.
A boss so unintelligent as to hire an employee who would report them is pathetic.
A boss so unintelligent as to train an employee who would “forget” about things is pathetic.

In other words, your entire statement is pathetic.

The more you speak, the worst it gets. I did not attempt to define the situation as pathetic. Rather, I truthfully uncovered it as so, and more. Acting like little monkeys and repeating my words shows just how much you are mindless simpletons.

Let's see what we have here with this... Nidoran person -

It's nothing more than a miserable coward that is so scared that it has to hide behind others to say what it thinks.

Well~ Should I come out and say what I feel?

I - yes I - I who is nothing but a immature little teenager is quite appalled - quite frankly - that it is actually a human. It irks my pride that such an spineless jerk is even a member of my species.

I'm of the current opinion that it is more of a sponge actually.

This color is called grey.
You are grey.
Therefore, you are a sickening excuse for life itself.

(Please note I'm usually nice, buuuut yeah. xD)

And Dys sends his love. You might need it, you poor loveless sponge...

What a hypocritical statement. By "uncovering" the situation as pathetic, you're describing the situation as pathetic, since that's the purpose of your poor choice of wording. As a result, you are defining the situation as pathetic. There is no difference between "uncovering" and "defining" because you are defining it as pathetic because you have uncovered that the situation was pathetic.

I am merely repeating these words because you specifically have used them to explicate your reasoning, while failing, may I add.

I commend you for attempting to retort me, Slowbro. Not many are strong enough to fight against those who they know are far more superior than them. Still, your attempts are feeble and futile. I pity you in your confusion pertaining to the meanings of “define” and “uncover.” There is one very simple difference between them: One may be misled in defining, as giving the meaning of something is always subjective to the one whom defines it. Uncovering, however, only shows us the truth—what is really there.

well nidoran it looks like u need to go look up a few words then cuz uncovering is also a subjective verb meaning that uncovering information is subject to different interpretations which makes it no different from defining again as u say urself ur pathetic

As Cloyster has pointed out, definition and truth are subjective. Have you taken any theory of knowledge class? What is truth? How do you define what it is? Our perspectives of what is only aid in our subjective view of what surrounds us. As a result, you "uncovering" what you understand as the "truth" is merely your description of what you believe is the definition of the situation.

Slowbro, I hold you in high esteem. You have recognized the very idea, the message, that I have been trying to communicate. I am the supreme being of this world. These simpletons beneath us may try to define, describe, and determine, but only that which I say exists. What I understand as the truth is the truth, whether it is true to you or not. You see, I am the god of this game.

Do not think too hard, because those thoughts are not your own.
