It was a rather depressingly short match xD

Oh well...

Sunako: 50
Dysania: 46
Akira: 40
Kiria: 38
Masquerade: 29
Xanatos: 23
Obko: 14
Twelve: 1

PLAYER QUESTION TIME!!!

Player A sent me some money, and the default is now that I accept it. Can I still refuse it?
Yes.

How long will the auction last?
We will declare who paid the most on the 5th of March. Get your results in by the 4th. A safe bet will be to get it in by 12:00 GMT time (which is 10pm for me).

When will round 3 begin?
On the 6th of March. Exact time to be specified at a later date. There will be a posting requirement every 2 days, so you can check it out at your leisure. (because we all know you want to wait before you start playing)

What do you mean about February? It says nothing about February. You need to get your eyes checked.

For lack of a better spot to put it, another question:

Q: If at least one valid bid is made for the revival round, someone will be revived. Correct?

A: Yes.

Q: What happens if the revival auction ends in a tie?
A: Both players will have one day to submit a new bid. This will determine the winner.

Q: What happens if that is a tie?
A: Then we'll be nice and let both through. This will change for Revival Round 3.
A: Both players will be eliminated.

That... doesn't make any sense. Why would they bother adding on to their bid if they could both get it for no extra cost? The fact that as long as anyone forks 150M forth and then everyone agrees to not pay extra so everyone jumps back in completely ruins the supply and demand of the Revival Ticket.

Those tickets are luxuries, and they're being auctioned. At a real auction, someone HAS to outbid to get it. If you're auctioning the Mona Lisa, and more than one person pays the same price and nothing more, then you can't replicate the Mona Lisa. Same should apply here: either one person gets it, or no one does.

Otherwise, what's to stop all of the 6 players who were eliminated this round to fork over 150M if they can get their hands on it, and pull off the politically advantageous agreement to just not pay a single yen more so everyone benefits? Even if you said "inactives can't apply", what if the other 4 players WEREN'T eliminated due to inactivity? What would the rule be then?

I find it silly that anyone who put forth effort through betrayal and careful calculations in this Revival Round to effectively get rid of their competitors essentially wasted their time... if a loophole like that is in play.

To be honest, we never even considered the idea of a tie until we were asked about it earlier today. The sudden death auction was the best we could come up with, and even that had the option of a tie problem. We had, unfortunately, closed ourself in on other ideas, a game would be an option, but we already had the sudden death auction being decided on the first day of the third round.

With this perspective in mind, we are deciding to do a full 180 on this. If the sudden death is still a tie, both players will be eliminated.
