The Final Stage

Post  Kurifuji on Wed Sep 29, 2010 2:24 pm

Oh, don't worry, this isn't anything to do with this game.

I'm talking about the Liar Game live action movie here, if you didn't already figure it out.

Well, since it's out I'd like to discuss about it with others,
I suggest you to watch it even if you wouldn't have watched the drama.
There's not much to miss if you dont watch the drama anyway and you will still know where the movie is going.

Oh, from this point on there might be spoilers so read if you want.

Anyway, the game was interesting, atleast it was a new one finally and not another take from the manga.
Though it had few.. illogical things, atleast how the players acted and so on.
Though at the start when they showed the island I was almost hundred percent sure that it was the music chair game. D:

[..and damn, the dealer seriousness has made me lost all the emotes ;n;]

Spoiler:
The prize was only 50 million... why do they act as if she can account for the debt of everyone who's lost the liar game with a mere 50 million? At least it's better than the idea of the whole tournament being to see if they can corrupt Nao.

Spoiler:
Nearcho, it doesn't matter.
Even if it would've been bigger price there was the "you cant give this to other players" -rule. D:

Oh and,
who did Yokoya give the check? o-o

Spoiler:
On that note, how the hell do they enforce that rule? And gotta love how the first thing that happens when the game is over, is that someone exploits that rule. Aki gives the yen to Yokoya. Yokoya gives the yen to another player.

It was 5 billion. That was the translator's bad for using dollars instead of yen. XD

After all, 100 million could fit in a suitcase, but not the stuff on that table.

Just watched it tonight, and.... eh, seemed fairly fitting for the Jdrama, though it still left me with a bit of an empty spot. But hey, that's probably just the format itself. Rolling Eyes
